Simon Longfield (Partner)
Simon works in our Recovery & Reorganisation
practice, specialising in multi-bank restructuring and turnaround
assignments, advising both creditors and debtors.
Experience
Simon joined us at Grant Thornton in 1997 having spent several
years with Arthur Andersen. With more than 17 years experience in
restructuring, he has led a number of large and complex assignments
both in the UK and internationally. He is regularly engaged by
senior and mezzanine lenders, bondholders and hedge funds as well
as management and investors of distressed corporates.
Recent experience includes: reviewing the strategic and
financial viability of a potential partner of a leading
international petroleum company; advising a bank syndicate on the
financial restructuring of a UK automotive group with financial
indebtedness of £250m and advising a syndicate of US bond holders
owed US$200m by a Dutch-based global distribution services group on
strategy, restructuring options and the likely impact on the
lender's exposure.
