Our UK Offering
As the level of business and number of transactions with China
increases, so too does the demand for financial and advisory
services. Grant Thornton's dedicated China Britain Services Group
assists in satisfying the high demand for targeted advice in this
rapidly changing market with teams based in both the UK and China.
Here in the UK, we have a number of native Mandarin and Cantonese
speakers specialising in service streams including tax, transaction
support and audit. They already work with the following:
- China-based companies aiming to raise funds in
the UK through an IPO, typically on AIM
- China-based companies seeking to gain entry
into the UK through organic growth or acquisition
- UK-based companies seeking to develop or
acquire a presence in China.
The members of the Group have considerable experience of working
with the Chinese in both China and Hong Kong and have developed
in-depth understanding not only of doing business but of the
business culture in modern China which can often vary from region
to region - making our local knowledge invaluable.
In China
Headquartered in Beijing, Grant Thornton in China also have
offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Taiyuan ,
Changchun, Qingdao and Hong Kong. We have a strong foothold in all
major economic centres in the country and are continuing to build
our national presence.
We have relationships with large corporate organizations, state
owned enterprises and directly with the Chinese government.
Working Together
We are involved with a number of China related organisations
including being members of the China-Britain Business Council
(CBBC) and the Hong Kong Association. Additionally, we have been
actively involved in hosting China specific events for both UK
Trade & Investment and the CBI.
We have also forged a number of relationships with key
intermediaries such as law firms, recruitment agencies, real estate
consultants and other business support services.
