Grant Thornton awarded for student placements and
internships
Grant Thornton has been recognised as the leading accountancy
firm in the "Best placement & internship employer for 2010"
category at the National Placement and Internship Awards presented
by Rate My Placement, coming second only to Microsoft.
The award is entirely dependant on ratings and
surveys completed by students who have taken part in a summer
internship with the firm.
"We are delighted that students have enjoyed
and valued the Grant Thornton experience. Becoming the
leading accountancy firm for summer
placements and internships is great news. We consistently work
at our placement programme to ensure that we provide the best
possible opportunity for students to find out what it really is
like to work for an international accountancy firm," says Samantha
Weston, Head of Resourcing at Grant Thornton.
"Significantly, 75% of our interns will
now be joining the firm as graduates in the forthcoming year. We
are committed to continuously developing our training programmes,"
concludes Weston.
Grant Thornton's trainee recruitment offers
over 200 places nationally for school leavers, interns and
graduates.
